Race 4 – Mourayan – Just feel this is the race he is ready to win after eight 2nds in 31 starts. Key danger for me is Dare to Dream from Ireland, it was backed from $18 into $6 last start, but he truly needed more than the 1400m. He gets the 2000m here and is a big chance. Watch his odds and if Mourayan gets under the odds jump on Dare to Dream at value.
Race 5 – Lunar Rise – All the hype is for the number 1 horse Proiser, but I can’t knock the breeding for Lunar Rise and his last start second against It’s a Dundeel who is also chance. Lunar Rise is from Starcraft and a close relation to Arc winner Peintre Celebre. I got Lunar Rise at $26 mid-week and now it’s in to about $14. Still value due to the amount of money on the favourite.

- Their last start must have been a good progressive run.
- They must have had one run in Australia prior.
- They must be class and proven / ability to get the distance.

What a great weekend we have ahead of us. We are back to Royal Randwick for the first time since Autumn and there Group races all across Australia with the Underwood (Melb) and the George Main (Syd) as features.
